37 hours a week: 08:00-16:00 Mon-Thurs, 08:00-15:30 Fri
Up to £22.05 PAYE hourly rate plus holiday and pension contribution, OR Umbrella hourly rates up to £29.95

You'll work with state-of-the-art equipment on real-world electrical design and automotive harness development, focused on UK and EU standards. Your contributions will be supported by a company that encourages your input and learning.
Role Responsibilities:
Create and maintain electrical designs using AutoCAD Electrical and Autodesk Vault.
Design electrical system layouts, schematics, and cable block diagrams.
Support the development of automotive wiring harnesses for engine test facilities.
Work from established design specifications with guidance from senior engineers.
Reference technical documentation to extract relevant electrical information.
Develop installation instructions and user documentation.
Participate in design review meetings and provide progress updates.
Prepare test documentation to facilitate harness quality checks.
Gain practical experience with loom and harness builds, including basic fault-finding tasks.
What you need:
1-3 years of experience in electrical/electronic design
Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D, AutoCAD Electrical, and/or Autodesk Vault
Familiarity with PLM software, component creation, icon/footprint design, and library management
Knowledge of CE / UKCA compliance and harmonised standards
Willingness to learn about standards such as EN 60204, EN 12100, and BS 7671
Capability to manage multiple projects at various stages
Experience with SAE standards or automotive connectors
Knowledge of switchgear selection
Familiarity with instrumentation, embedded electronics, or PLCs (e.g., Allen Bradley, Rockwell Automation)
Understanding of quality systems (ISO 9001 or ISO 17025)
Professional registration or progress toward it (IET or equivalent)
