Job Title: Junior Engineer – Pre-Construction (Plumbing & Electrical)
Location: Lambeth Office (Hybrid, with site visits as required)
Reports To: Pre-Construction Manager
Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 per annum
About the Role
Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Engineer to join their Pre-Construction team. This role will support the preparation, coordination, and design review processes for plumbing and electrical projects prior to construction. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience in planning, estimating, and technical documentation, working closely with senior engineers and project managers.
Key Responsibilities
Review project drawings, specifications, and design documents for plumbing and electrical systems.
Support the development of pre-construction plans, including layouts, material take-offs, and preliminary schedules.
Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather technical information and pricing.
Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation for project estimates and proposals.
Conduct site visits and surveys (as required) to collect data for design validation and planning.
Ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and industry regulations.
Assist in identifying potential risks, value engineering opportunities, and constructability issues.
Provide general technical support to senior engineers and project managers.Skills & Qualifications
Basic understanding of plumbing and/or electrical systems in construction projects.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other drafting/engineering software (advantageous).
Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project).
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Eagerness to learn and develop within a fast-paced construction environment.What’s on Offer
