Junior Mechanical Engineer – Building Services

The Manchester office has grown steadily and has considerable experience working on city centre and out-of-town multi-storey commercial offices, new builds, and refurbishments across a variety of sectors.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join a collaborative and supportive consultancy where you’ll gain hands-on project experience, professional development, and clear progression opportunities.

What you’ll be doing:

Assisting the design team in delivering mechanical building services projects from concept through to detailed design Learning and developing skills using software packages such as AutoCAD, Revit, and IES/Hevacomp Working alongside architects, surveyors, and contractors to gain an understanding of how projects are delivered Supporting the preparation of drawings, specifications, and calculations Attending site visits and team meetings to see designs come to life Gaining knowledge of sustainable design practices, including low-carbon and energy-efficient systems

What we’re looking for:

A degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering Minimum 1 years experience A genuine interest in building services design and sustainable engineering solutions Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
