Here, your expertise contributes directly to building the UK’s clean energy future while developing your own career on complex, large-scale engineering challenges.Job Description The Job MissionThis is a hybrid role, open to those within commutable distance of Bridgwater, or willing to relocate with support from a small relocation allowance.As a Junior Piping Configuration Engineer, you’ll support the accurate management of piping design from early planning through to installation. You’ll be guided by senior colleagues while gaining valuable experience in a high-profile engineering environment.Support reviews of design maturity and readiness for construction activitiesWork with senior engineers to maintain accurate piping configuration recordsTrack design changes and open points to ensure timely resolutionAssist in preparing and updating technical documentation for handoversLiaise with project managers, engineers, and contractors to share accurate dataHelp administer digital tools used to manage configuration and design dataProvide input into regular engineering meetings and progress reviewsMy profile Essential Skills and QualificationsDegree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or similar disciplineBasic knowledge of piping systems, design, or configuration processesProficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Strong attention to detail and organisational skillsPlacement or early experience in engineering or industrial projectsFamiliarity with technical drawings or design documentationUnderstanding of design change management processesInterest in progressing within large, complex engineering projects Be part of a once-in-a-generation engineering project that will transform the UK’s energy landscape.
