Junior PLC Engineer Location: Glascoed, South Wales, BAE Systems Hourly Rate: £22.69 PAYE or £30.41 Duration: 12 months Working Arrangements: 3-4 days on site per week
What You'll Be Doing Monitoring and managing SCADA and PLC systems to ensure safe, efficient operations Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment faults, including robotics and Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) Tracking data, alarms, and system trends to detect and respond to operational issues Assisting with system maintenance, updates, and continuous improvements Supporting emergency response and safety protocols when needed Maintaining accurate logs, permits, and documentation
What We're Looking For Technically minded, with a degree, HNC/HND, or apprenticeship in engineering or a related field Curious and eager to learn about PLC systems (experience with Siemens TIA Portal or SCADA is a plus) A strong team player with excellent communication and analytical skills Interested in automation, robotics, and control systems within manufacturing
