Junior Presales Engineer (German & English)

We are looking for a Junior Presales Engineer to join our global Revenue team. Based in London, this individual will play a crucial role in supporting core presales engineering activities in showcasing the value of Optibus’ solutions to potential clients, including transportation providers (Public Transport Operators - PTOs) and public transport authorities (Public Transport Authorities - PTAs) across the UK and beyond. The role will oversee the preparation of data for building generic and/or tailored demonstrations across the globe. This role will also cover the creation, update and management of new demo flow for newly released features and products. You will work closely with Core Presales Engineer, Sales, Marketing, Product, and Customer Success teams to engage with prospective customers and help them navigate the challenges they face in optimizing public transportation. This is a hybrid role with a minimum of three days per week in a local London office and will involve occasional travel (approximately 20%) within the UK and potentially EMEA. Responsibilities
Demo Preparation - Serve as an expert in manipulating data (excel, CSV or anything standard protocols such as GTFS, ODS, VDV, TXC, Netex…) in order to build generic and tailored demo that will then be presented by our Core Presales Engineering team to demonstrate the value of Optibus system to our prospect. - Become the Presales Engineer expert in exploring data sources across the globe to support your activities. Be aware of new developments, new formats and protocols. Demo Flows - Build, update and improve our suite of demo guides. As the product suite keeps evolving, you will be responsible to ensure the Core Presales Engineering team has access to up to date content and end-to-end demo flow to support their activities. Client Engagement - Serve as a trusted advisor to potential clients, building strong relationships with stakeholders and delivering tailored solutions to meet their transportation needs. - Conduct in-depth discovery sessions to understand client requirements and present how Optibus can address their business challenges with AI and optimization solutions. Solution Demonstration & Education
- Become an expert in Optibus products and solutions, delivering impactful demonstrations, proofs of concept, workshops, and value assessments. Market Leadership
- Develop deep expertise in the British and German market and foster relationships with key industry stakeholders, including Public Transport Authorities (PTAs) and Public Transport Operators (PTOs). - Represent Optibus at industry events, webinars, and conferences to enhance brand visibility and demonstrate thought leadership in the public transport space. Feedback & Continuous Improvement - Collect client feedback to inform Product Management and Engineering teams, helping to shape product offerings and improve customer experience.
