About the Opportunity

As a Junior Project Engineer, you will become part of the Production Team assisting the Project Managers in driving the day-to-day operations of the Production Office. You will be responsible for assisting the Project Managers with Planning, purchasing and preparation of Route Cards getting them into production, cost-effectively to the customer quality requirements as well as assisting with the updating of progress and WIP. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams—including Production, quality, and supply chain—you will promote a high-performance culture rooted in safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. This role demands a strong willingness to learn and progress within the business.

Key Responsibilities

Assist and coordinate daily production activities to meet delivery & Quality.

*

Support, and assist to manage a diverse team of engineers, operators, and support staff in line with company values and performance expectations.

*

Champion a Safety-First culture and ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

*

Collaborate with Production and quality teams to support new product introductions and process improvements.

*

Assist to Monitor and drive performance using SQCDP (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, People) principles and operational KPIs.

*

Manage resource and capacity planning, ensuring efficient allocation of personnel and equipment.

*

Help to Identify and manage risks and opportunities to enhance business outcomes.

*

Support Project Managers and production in supplier engagement to ensure delivery and quality standards are maintained.

*

Assist to Prepare and deliver production status updates and reports to internal stakeholders and customers.

*

Ensure the safe management and effective use of all site assets, facilities, and systems.

About You

*

Experience in a production or operations Project role within a Tooling manufacturing or engineering environment—Aerospace or Defence sector experience is highly desirable.

*

Brief understanding of engineering drawings, CAD data, and technical documentation.

*

Strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels.

*

Confident in using business systems and tools (e.g., Excel, SAP, Power BI); Future training would be available as required.

Holds a full UK driving licence and has the legal right to work in the UK.
