Junior Test, Diagnostic & RCA Engineer

Initial 4 month Contract - Outside of IR35

Milton Keynes and occasional travel to Woking

About the company

I am currently recruiting on behalf of a Luxury Automotive OEM, based in Milton Keynes, who are seeking a Junior Test Engineer to join their team.

Responsibilities

• Support diagnosis and fault-finding processes on prototype and production electric motors and motor controllers/inverters.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of failed components.
• Support the implementation of containment measures to manage identified issues.
• Plan and execute test and validation activities on EDM hardware.
• Support implementation of corrective and countermeasures to address design or manufacturing issues.
• Prepare technical reports including RCA summaries, test results, and activity plans.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure timely delivery of EDM development milestones.

Qualifications

• Degree (or equivalent experience) in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Hands-on experience in test, validation, or diagnostic activities.
• Ability to document and communicate findings effectively.
• Willingness to be based onsite in Milton Keynes with occasional travel to Woking.
