Lead Software Engineer – AI Product

London (Hybrid, 3–4 days in office)

Oakwell Hampton are partnered with a fast-growing enterprise platform used by some of the world’s best-known brands. Their mission is to tackle one of the most important challenges of our time, and they’re now building a new AI-powered product to help global companies manage and report on their progress.

This is not just another AI role. You’ll be joining at a pivotal stage, where the company is investing heavily into building a world-class AI sustainability reporting tool. The team values collaboration, creativity and ownership, and they are looking for someone who can bring technical leadership while remaining hands-on in delivery.

The Role

  • Prototype, develop and iterate on a new AI-driven product area
  • Productionise and launch core technologies on top of rich operational datasets
  • Collaborate closely with product and AI engineering teams to set strategy
  • Stay ahead of the curve with developments in AI and apply them in practice
  • Write performant, maintainable code across a modern stack

You’ll be a strong fit if you have

  • Proven experience building products with LLMs, embeddings, and ML technologies
  • End-to-end experience deploying and monitoring ML-powered products
  • A strong full-stack engineering background
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in fast-moving environments
  • Solid foundations in machine learning models, evaluation, and performance
