Develop and maintain robust ETL pipelines for data processing and integration. Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards and regulations. Monitor and optimise data storage and processing performance within Azure environments. Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior team members. Document processes, system designs, and workflows for future reference. Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in data engineering and Azure platforms.

Strong experience with Databricks, Azure Synapse, Delta Lake, and pipeline orchestration. Hands-on with ETL/ELT processes, data modeling (star schema), SQL, Python, and data governance tools (e.g., Purview, Unity Catalog). Experience implementing AI/ML solutions in Databricks or similar platforms. Knowledge of data observability, monitoring, and incident management (ITIL best practices). Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience in a regulated financial environment is desirable. Relevant certifications such as Azure Data Engineer Associate are essential.
