Responsibilities
- Be a development team member of an Agile team and participate in all Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint review and demo, sprint retrospective, and refinement sessions.
- Provide task overview and impediment status for your work, help resolve impediments, and support the team as needed.
- Contribute to estimations, plan upcoming sprints, and keep tasks and stories up to date with demonstrations of working software.
- Document requirements and designs, ensure compliance with SDLC and security practices, and deliver complete deployment instructions and release notes as part of the definition of done.
- As a developer, write performant, stable, and maintainable code respecting design patterns (SOLID, DRY) and participate in code reviews and documentation in the technical wiki.
- Collaborate with team members to operate as one team; as a Lead Specialist, own the technical solution for a strategic module—the payroll calculation engine—and guide other engineers with best practices and technical challenges.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience with C# and strong coding and unit testing abilities (C#, LINQ, SQL).
- Very good knowledge of .NET Frameworks (e.g., Entity Framework).
- Experience with databases (MySQL, Oracle, Azure SQL Server, MongoDB, Cosmos DB).
- Willingness and ability to work independently as part of a global virtual team; analytical skills and ability to create quality documentation.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure is an asset.
- Experience in writing/understanding/challenging Technical Designs; knowledge of development best practices (SOLID, DRY, Security First, TDD).
- Proficiency with Git and experience working with Azure DevOps or similar tools (Jira).
- Excellent team player and ability to collaborate with frontend developers.
