Overview

Lead C# / Principal C# Software Engineer, SaaS, hands-on engineering role with proven ability to mentor and technically develop a team, providing technical leadership. Full stack but heavily backend focused. Cloud skills required (ideally AWS; Azure also acceptable). Home-based role with occasional office visit. Salary £70,000 - £80,000 + benefits.

Key Responsibilities

• Hands on coding using C# / .NET with strong backend focus.
• Full stack development (backend C#; frontend as needed, e.g., React) but emphasis on backend.
• Act as the technical leader within the team.
• Own the fortnightly technical output and ensure quality delivery.
• Collaborate with Product Owners on tactical delivery.
• Drive Agile practices across the team.
• Mentoring, coaching, training, and conflict resolution as needed.

Experience & Qualifications

• Excellent hands-on knowledge of C# / .NET.
• Strong understanding of engineering architecture, design patterns and principles.
• Proven experience designing and developing microservices and distributed systems.
• Commercial experience with Cloud technologies (AWS or Azure).
• Team development skills: mentoring, coaching, enabling high performance.
• Strong knowledge of working in an Agile environment.
• Previous experience at Lead level.
