Role: Lead Cable Project Engineer Sector: Transmission Location: Hybrid - Scotland Start Date: September 2025 Duration: Approx. 7-Months Rates: £750 Daily Rate Inside IR35 via Umbrella Clearance: BPSS (DBS/DS, Financial Probity, Employment History) + Medical Questionnaire & Proof of Right to Work in the UK

Base Location: Preference Glasgow, Perth, Inverness or Aberdeen Client offices, however, can be remote working from home or hybrid (UK locations only).

Occasional travel (less than 1 trip per month of duration approx. 2 nights) may be required to fulfil the role, with attendance at the Client Glasgow office or onsite.

The successful candidate will support design and deliver engineering on a Subsea Transmission Cable Project, with possible scope to support other HVAC Offshore projects within our portfolio, and shall have the following key responsibilities:

Involved in detail design reviews, HAZCON/HAZOP sessions supporting construction, installation, commissioning and project completion. Providing cable engineering support by reviewing cable system designs including: Review and assessment of technology options, underground cable routing selection, producing current rating calculations using CYMCAP software and assessment of interface requirements.
