About the Role

They are currently seeking a highly experienced and qualified Lead Civil Engineer to deliver design, project management, and leadership across a portfolio of highways and transformation projects.

This role plays a vital part in supporting the Council’s Stronger Economy and Stronger Communities priorities and delivering key outcomes outlined in the Local Plan.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead on the design, procurement and contract administration of highways, civil and structural engineering projects

* Manage all design elements for Local Transport Grant funded schemes

* Investigate technical issues and develop feasibility studies, options appraisals, and outline designs

* Ensure high-quality delivery from concept through to construction and evaluation

* Apply commercial awareness and working knowledge of NEC contracts to manage risk and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
