We'd love you to join us.ResponsibilitiesLead teams and departments in the design, implementation, administration and support of container related infrastructure solutions and services.Demonstrate expertise in container build and runtime environments, Kubernetes administration and associated technologies such as Flux, Argo CD, Helm.Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Gitlab or equivalent.Write and maintain Infrastructure as Code.Develop and support cloud-based applications (Cloud Infrastructure Engineering).Design, build and run cloud platforms that support critical public services; ensure security, scalability and reliability.Collaborate with other technical teams, help application developers maximize shared cloud infrastructure.Manage Kubernetes clusters and automate deployments with Helm, Flux and ArgoCD; embed security to mitigate risks.Support live services, investigate and resolve issues, and ensure platform health and performance.Mentor junior engineers and help shape the technical direction of the team.Qualifications and ExperienceStrong experience leading teams in container infrastructure solutions.Significant expertise in container build/run environments and Kubernetes administration, with Flux, Argo CD, Helm.Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines with Gitlab or equivalent.Strong track record writing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code.Expert knowledge in developing and supporting cloud-based applications.Location and Working ArrangementsLocation: One of Birmingham, Blackpool, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle or Sheffield, depending on what is most convenient.Hybrid Working: Hybrid model – spend some time working at home and some time in a hub.Pay, Pension and HolidaysPay: Up to £89,995.Pension: Civil service pension with employer contributions worth 28.97%.Holidays: 26 days rising to 31 days with additional flexi-time and public holidays.BenefitsFlexible working and flex-friendly policiesTime off volunteering and charitable givingInclusive culture and development opportunitiesDiscounts and savings on shopping and activitiesInterest-free loans for bike or season ticketProcessApplication and selection are two stages: Apply via Civil Service Jobs, followed by a single-stage online interview. #J-18808-Ljbffr
