Lead Data Engineer role at INOVERSE GROUPE. Bristol - Mostly remote with the requirement to be in Edinburgh a couple of times a month. Permanent position. Salary around £90,000 plus benefits including 20% pension, 40 days holiday, private healthcare, share scheme, and more.

iO Associates are partnering with an established, reputable Private Investment company to recruit an experienced Data Engineer on a permanent basis. As the Lead Data Engineer, you will develop a multi-sourced data model that can be used to create and deliver specific reporting data models. You will also play a pivotal role in architecting scalable data solutions, driving engineering best practices, and guiding the technical direction of the team, ensuring data quality and governance, and influencing the broader data strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Influence the broader data strategy across the organization.

To Be Successful, You Will Have

  • Several years of experience in data and analysis.
  • Proven experience leading data engineering initiatives and teams in complex, data-rich environments.
  • Deep expertise in the Microsoft Azure stack and modern data architecture patterns.
  • Experience with data & analytics platforms (e.g., MS Fabric).
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and data orchestration tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory).
  • Experience with data visualization tools, ideally Power BI, and delivering data models that support self‑service analytics.
