This is a hands-on leadership role to guide team members with strong development leadership and drive excellence in data engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities as a Lead Data Engineer:
  • Lead the design and development of complete components or subsystems, including design, code, test and defect resolution.
  • Define and champion best practices; coach team members to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Drive hands-on design and development, using open source and commercial platforms.
  • Contributing to technical proposals as part of the sales process.
  • Engage with the operations and security architects and accreditors to ensure operationally efficiency and compliance.
  • Stakeholder engagement to estimate and advise of estimated effort of technical implications.
Essential Skills & Experience:
  • Proven Leadership in engineering teams delivering data-intensive system components.
  • Proficient in Java, Scala or Python.
  • Experience with platforms including Informatica, Azure Databricks or other ETL tools.
  • Expertise in SQL and understandings of distributed data stores and processing frameworks.
  • Skilled in designing analytical and operational data models.
  • Strong interest in AI technologies.
Desirable:
  • Certified in AWS/Azure/GCP Certified
  • Active contributor to data communities and best practices.
  • Familiarity with Data Warehouse methods and techniques.
