Lead Design Engineer – Signalling, Manchester – Hybrid

Contract: 12 months • Day rate: £550-£650

Are you ready to take a leading role in delivering some of the UK’s most exciting and technically advanced rail signalling projects? We are looking for a talented and motivated Lead Signalling Design Engineer to guide design teams in the safe and successful delivery of critical rail infrastructure projects across the network.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design teams to deliver signalling projects in a safe and timely manner.
  • Coordinate design activities, meet deadlines, and maintain technical quality.
  • Apply strong technical knowledge of signalling systems within a project environment.

Qualifications

  • Essential:
    • HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in rail signalling design or systems engineering.
    • Demonstrable understanding of railway signalling principles and design processes.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Proven ability to coordinate design activities, meet deadlines, and maintain technical quality.
  • Desirable:
    • IRSE Principles Designer Licence (1.1.130).
    • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to manage people and priorities effectively.
