Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of internal developer platforms and tools that improve the software development lifecycle.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab, ensuring fast, reliable, and secure deployments.
  • Manage Kubernetes-based environments, including Helm chart development and deployment automation.
  • Design and operate ingress and service mesh solutions using Traefik and Istio to support scalable microservices.
  • Collaborate with developers to improve local development environments, testing workflows, and deployment feedback loops.
  • Drive observability initiatives using Grafana, ELK Stack, and New Relic to provide actionable insights to developers.
  • Manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, focusing on automation, scalability, and cost optimization.
  • Maintain and optimize artifact repositories like Nexus, Artifactory or similar.
  • Champion DevEx best practices and mentor engineers on DevOps principles and tooling.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, automation, and developer empowerment.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Developer Productivity roles.
  • Strong experience with Java development environments, including build tools like Maven or Gradle.
  • Strong experience with Kubernetes, Helm, Jenkins, GitLab, Traefik, and Istio.
  • Deep understanding of AWS infrastructure and services. Proven experience improving developer workflows and reducing friction in the SDLC.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash).
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools: Grafana, ELK, New Relic.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Crossplane).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a developer-first mindset. Experience building internal developer portals or platform-as-a-product initiatives.
  • AWS certifications or equivalent cloud expertise.
  • Familiarity with GitOps practices and tools (e.g., ArgoCD).
  • Experience in high-scale, microservices-based environments.
