Lead Earthing Engineer

Up to £20/hour + £40/night overnight pay + overtime (Mon-Fri), plus weekends available at overtime rates

RHI Industrials provides Earthing design and installation works to some of the UK’s biggest infrastructure projects, new substation builds, existing substation maintenance and other infrastructure projects.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Lead Earthing Engineer to join our team and help develop the business during an exciting phase of growth.

This is a field-based, UK-wide role, so it is imperative that you are happy to travel / work away from home.

Responsibilities

• Installation and testing of earthing systems to LV/HV/GIS substations, power generating stations, CNI, waste to power plants, wind farms, Solar parks, telecommunications, Data centres, water industry, and MOD infrastructures.
• Liaising with the client on site and dealing with project managers, engineers etc.
• To ensure that works that fall within our scope are carried out in a safe, diligent, professional, and timely manner.
• Generators/Current Transformers/Voltage Transformers/Super Gird Transformers/Shunt Reactors.
• Continuity/Slope/Electrode/Resistivity/Fall of Potential Testing
• Use of earthing test Meters and Micro Ohm Meters
• Silfos Oxy/Propane Brazing and Exothermic Welding
• Completion of precise Engineering Reports and recording of site data.
• Demonstration to Clients and End Users of completed systems or individual work(s)
• Provide training to other Engineers and Company Staff where required
• Arranging PAT / CAT and Meter Calibrations for company-issued equipment
• Completion of Asset Tagging and Registration of Information
• The candidate must be a self-starting and diligent problem solver, able to work both individually and as part of a team.
• Excellent customer-facing skills and self-presentation are required.
• Must hold a clean driver's licence.
• A proven background in below and above ground Earthing Installation is essential.
