We manage social and environmental impacts globally and drive solutions enabling customers, businesses, and the world to become more sustainable.Key responsibilitiesProducing Design Specifications, marking up and checking design drawings, supporting on-site activities (Technical submittal reviews, answering RFIs, etc.), site inspections, equipment qualifications, presenting designs to stakeholders (page turns).About the teamThe team consists of Electrical Engineers with Design Engineering backgrounds, often with practical experience from consulting or hands-on electrical work.BASIC QUALIFICATIONSDegree in Electrical Engineering with experience in power systems and mission-critical electrical design.Excellent understanding of European Electrical Codes with detailed knowledge of critical LV, MV, and HV electrical equipment.Understanding of relays, protection schemes, high-voltage circuit breakers, power and distribution transformers, electrical switchgear, grounding and earthing, and ability to research new designs, technologies, and construction methods for data center equipment and facilities.Ability to carry new design concepts through exploration, development, deployment/construction, and perform complex business-case analysis to justify technical decisions and present the justification to management at a high level.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSChartered Engineer with a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and experience directly related to data center or mission-critical facility design.Experience in consultant negotiation and management for design, construction, and project management of fast-track design/build projects or multiple significant upgrade projects.Extensive knowledge of building codes and regulations; ability to think creatively to reduce costs without impacting quality, reliability, or maintainability.Leadership and problem-solving skills with reliability and dependability.Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
