In this role, you will lead a group of engineers to provide knowledgeable aerodynamic input to the Aero Correlation group, to build an understanding of the differences between various data sources (track, wind tunnel and CFD). Career-defining moments ahead.ResponsibilitiesManagement and responsibility of the Aero Correlation TeamTechnical lead for the Aero Correlation groupProvide the best information to build an understanding of the aerodynamic performance of the race car that enables higher confidence levels in delivering performance upgrades to the trackGuiding the team in developing and strategies to improve aerodynamic understandingLeading and implementing improved methods and tools for correlation between track data and Wind Tunnel/CFD dataLeading the team in the development of innovative tools and strategies to improve the aerodynamic understanding of the car's performanceManaging the relationship between the Aero Correlation, Aero Development, Aero Test and CFD groupsMaintain the relationship with other engineer groups (vehicle performance, race engineering)RequirementsAn excellent understanding of aerodynamics, with a keen attention to detail, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skillsWell versed with Track, CFD and Wind Tunnel test techniquesHave a strong understanding of the aerodynamic structures and behaviours around the race carDemonstrate excellent interpersonal and leadership skillsAble to perform duties in a timely manner with minimal errorsAbility to line manage / lead teams effectivelyClear and concise communication, verbally and written, including with key stakeholders and directorsStrong levels of IT skills including MS Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPointPositively contribute to an open and inclusive cultureProvide a flexible attendance and attitude to work, in line with the requirements for the role and specific project requirementsWe are an equal opportunities employer and are committed to the equal treatment of all current and prospective employees.
