Role

Design and engineering development experience on automotive door mechanism systems, Access systems, Door Handles across all phases of the vehicle lifecycle—from concept, design, test and validation to launch.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with internal teams during development and validation phases to ensure technical targets, timelines, and quality standards are met.
• Work in a cross-functional environment with suppliers and internal stakeholders to design, modify and validate Door mechanism components and systems.
• Establish and maintain technical direction and engineering standards for the Door Closures domain, aligning with the broader Body Engineering organization to support organisation growth and global objectives.
• Drive technical resolution, issue management, and engineering deliverables for door mechanism systems on future model programs, ensuring full compliance with Engineering Requirements, DVP, DFMEA and DFM.
• Support organizational goals by defining departmental strategies, mentoring team members, and building capabilities in mechanism system design, integration, and validation.
