Role: Lead Engineer - Glass, Seals and Finishers

Job description

• Design and development experience on automotive Glass, seals and finisher systems.
• Expertise in dynamic sealing, glass run sealing, glass guidance etc, from concept, design, test and validation to launch.
• Good understanding of latest Automotive technologies, safety glass standards, manufacture processes and materials, including extrusion, injection moulding, stamping, roll forming, stretch bending, EPDM, TPE, coatings, metals, plastics.
• Robust understanding of the complete product lifecycle and work in a cross-functional environment with suppliers and internal stakeholders to design, modify and validate glass, seals and finisher components.
• Establish and maintain technical direction and engineering standards for the Door Closures domain and align with the broader Body Engineering organization to support organisation growth and global objectives.
• Drive technical resolution, issue management, and engineering deliverables for seals and Door domain on future model programs, ensuring full compliance with Engineering Requirements, DVP, DFMEA and DFM.
• Skilled experience in GD&T, Catia V5/3dX and PLM tools.
