What's the role?
At Hilti we are on a mission to transform Passive Fire Protect and currently looking for a Lead Passive Fire Engineer to join the team and make an impact and drive our vision to be the lead in customer excellence providing the right solution with safety at the forefront of everything we do.As a Lead Engineer specialising in Passive Fire Protection you will work on the most complex customer requirements keeping you constantly in the most important place in the Fire Safety strategy.
You will use your knowledge and skills gained in the Fire Protection industry to challenge, analysis and solve challenges, and using your findings to present the solution that is right for the customer but also is in line with regulations therefore you will continue your CPD, utilising our Engineering Academy, attending Engineering upskills, immersing yourself into our innovative products and being an ambassador in your field and for Hilti.
What does the role involve?
As a Lead Engineer in you will be pivotal in providing exceptional service for internal and external stakeholders. You will utilise your excellent skills to propose bespoke Passive Fire Protection solutions and develop engineering judgements that assure the safety and viability of our solution inline with fire safety standards for the type of build.You can expect to be involved with the below tasks daily.
- Review, respond and understand customer requirements and queries, understand specifications, and analyse technical construction documents including plans and designs to understand the passive fire protection needs of the customer.
- Create and certify engineering judgments, including assessing, analysing and reporting to assure suitability and safety of our products in line with the need of the customer and the project.
- Always working to current safety standards, proactively keeping up with important changes in the passive fire protection industry standards and regulations, ensuring your skills stay sharp and in-date. Simultaneously utilising all opportunities to maintain competence on the latest Hilti fire protection products ensuring all appropriate quality and safety standards are followed.
What you need is:
Essential- Bachelow degree minimum in a related field such as Fire Engineering, Civil, Structural Mechanical.
- Demonstrable experience in Passive Fire Protection conducting assessments or judgements on safety suitability and standards and able to utilise excellent technical writing skills to present your outcomes.
- A proven ability to understand and analyse technical & theoretical dataset and understanding the data to derive a solution that is practical to challenge presented.
- Using the knowledge gained from the dataset to present and propose a creative and innovative solution that meets customer, regulatory and Hilti standards.
- Clear and concise ability to communicate complex, technical information clearly, to all stakeholders involved including to non-technical people and work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong AutoCAD skills.
- Fluent in English speaking and writing.
