Lead Electrical Engineer City of London £48,000 – £50,000

A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced Lead Maintenance Engineer to join a prestigious commercial site in the City of London. Representing a well-regarded facilities management company, you will take charge of the on-site maintenance operations, ensuring both planned and reactive tasks are completed to the highest standards.

This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone with a strong background in electrical building services and a multi-skilled approach. You will also play a key part in mentoring an on-site apprentice, making it a great opportunity for those passionate about developing future engineering talent.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive tasks across all building services systems Maintain and test emergency lighting and fire alarm systems Perform maintenance and testing of UPS systems, motors, and generators (including on/off load testing) Work on HVAC systems such as AHUs, FCUs, CRAC units, and VAVs Carry out mechanical works on pumps, belts, bearings, seals, and sprinkler systems Monitor and operate Building Management Systems (BMS) Ensure safe working practices, including plant/system isolation as required Manage and oversee subcontractor visits and activities Maintain all necessary site documentation, including logbooks, RAMS, and permits Support and mentor the on-site apprentice engineer Communicate effectively with client representatives, providing updates on maintenance activities Utilise the PDA system to log and close jobs efficiently Requirements:

City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent qualification Solid experience within commercial building services maintenance Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and support a team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Positive, proactive approach to service delivery and problem-solving Salary & Benefits:
