Our Client has a requirement for a Lead HV Substation Engineer, who will be required to work on a 12 month contract in Glasgow. Roles and Responsibilities These are typical substation design work we do all over the country from FEED / Development phase to Detailed Design: Provide Leadership on the FEED and detail design workstream. Ensure adequate quality assurance and delivery of FEED, Detailed design and bids for SSEN, NGET and DNOs. Ensure adequate resources and training of resources for the purposes of delivering FEED and detailed design work. Review the HV plant aspects of different projects including HV layouts, earthing design and reports, mechanical interlocking, HV busbar calculations and technical specification for the HV plant equipment. Coordination with back-office engineers, sub-contractors and suppliers as required. Proven record of ability to manage tender packages as tender manager and doing HV plant aspects of technical offers. Ability to attend and chair the design review and Hazard review meetings and reviewing HV plant design packages as required. Attending site visits, FAT and SAT as required.
