Lead Identity Manager Engineer

Belfast - 3 days per week

Hayward Hawk are exclusively recruiting for a Lead Identity Manager Engineer for their Fintech client in Belfast. This is a permanent role and will be 3 days onsite per week.

The Role

They are looking for an experienced Identity Manager (IDM) specialist to take ownership of their IDM platform. This is a hands-on technical leadership role, driving system enhancements, supporting integrations, and ensuring smooth delivery of identity-related change initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and support for the enterprise Identity Manager platform (e.g., One Identity or similar).
  • Deliver end-to-end changes: requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, and release.
  • Configure and maintain connectors, provisioning processes, and role-based access models.
  • Support onboarding/offboarding workflows, access requests, and entitlement reviews.
  • Provide Level 3 production support, troubleshoot incidents, and carry out root-cause analysis.
  • Integrate IDM with key enterprise systems (such as Active Directory, Azure AD, ERP applications, and other business-critical platforms).
  • Document technical processes, design materials, and operational runbooks.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across technology, security, and the business to align IDM strategy with requirements.

Requirements

  • Strong background with enterprise Identity Manager platforms (One Identity Manager highly advantageous).
  • Hands-on experience developing connectors, provisioning workflows, and automating identity lifecycles.
  • Knowledge of directory services (Active Directory / Azure AD) and integration with IDM platforms.
  • Solid SQL skills and scripting experience (PowerShell, VB.Net or similar).
  • Background in application and system integration within large-scale environments.
  • Strong incident management and troubleshooting at L3 level.

Desirable

  • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and IDM integration.
  • Exposure to web services, APIs, and middleware integration.
  • Experience with configuration management tools and ticketing platforms (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Service Desk).
  • Application development experience (C#, Angular, or other) beneficial but not essential.
  • Previous work in financial services or another highly regulated industry.
