Overview

Lead Technical Recruiter (Digital Data and Technology DDaT) - for Engineering, Quality Assurance and Test (QAT) and UCD Professions at UK Home Office. This role focuses on coordinating infrastructure services, delivering architectural solutions for infrastructure throughout the service lifecycle, and leading infrastructure teams to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with departmental policy.

Responsibilities

  • Lead teams and departments in the implementation, administration and support of infrastructure solutions and services.
  • Troubleshoot and identify problems across compute, storage, networking, physical infrastructure, software, cloud, COTS and open source.
  • Establish standards and procedures across the service lifecycle, including the development lifecycle, and ensure practitioners adhere to them. Manage resources to ensure the systems integration function works effectively.
  • Manage, coach and mentor more junior infrastructure engineers.

Your skills for this role

  • Delivering management, technical and administrative services to support and maintain live applications, evidenced by experience in a similar role.
  • Providing leadership to teams responsible for delivery of the service through effective direction and coaching.
  • Understanding and/or experience of adhering to service management processes and procedures.
  • Leading the technology team to adhere to good engineering principles from architecture through to development.
  • Using a Service Management toolset to log and update service incidents.
  • Understanding of Lean, Agile and DevOps principles.
