Overview

Lead Infrastructure Engineer role at Procode, based in Chandlers Ford with 2 days per week in Hutwood Court offices. Salary: Circa £75,000 plus bonus up to 15%. Hours: 40 hrs per week + on-call.

What does this role involve?

• Manage the Infrastructure Platforms Team and oversee the design, implementation and support of infrastructure systems (on-prem and cloud).
• Blend strategic planning, people management and technical expertise to deliver robust, secure, and scalable infrastructure services.
• Champion best practices, drive continuous improvement, and act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Provide support for Infrastructure Platforms questions, issues and topics; balance a technical and leadership role.
• Assist and manage existing Infrastructure Engineers in maintaining on-premise and cloud infrastructure for project and service introduction activities.
• Design, procure, install, upgrade, operate, maintain and monitor IT infrastructure components (network, storage, virtualisation, compute; AD, DHCP, DNS, NTP, SNMP, web services, databases; security products; automation/IaC and cloud (Azure)).

The technology environment includes

• Server and Network hardware, Virtualisation, Storage, Server Operating systems, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, NTP, SNMP, Web services and databases, Security products, Automation and Configuration Management and/or IaC technologies at scale
• Cloud computing (Azure)

On-call and security

• The role will involve on-call working on a rota basis (24/7).
• To be successful, you may be required to pass an enhanced security vetting process.
