OverviewLead Java Software Engineer - London Stock Exchange Group. We are seeking an enthusiastic technologist to join a growing IAM development team. You will work in an empowered agile environment on the identity and access management system behind products such as the Eikon financial information desktop. You will craft and implement feature improvements and maintenance updates, and deliver new capabilities and technology updates, including migration of services to third-party cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure).What you’ll be doingEffectively use modern development methods, including build and test tools, and agile processes to deliver high-quality services. Produce deployment artefacts and documentation.Build security and availability into designs from the beginning, including monitoring and data collection for ongoing support and service improvement.Collaborate closely with other groups within the organisation to understand their platform requirements and support their use of it.Maintain an understanding of industry trends and bring new ideas to the platform.What you’ll bringProven experience in software development (Java, Java Spring Boot).Demonstrable experience in Cloud Technologies (AWS preferred).Experience with designing, developing, debugging, optimising and supporting sophisticated production systems across multiple datacentres with emphasis on security, scalability, availability and performance.Experience with modern development methods, including agile, continuous integration/build and unit testing processes.Strong collaboration and communication skills across diverse audiences.Self-motivated with the ability to translate high-level direction into solutions and development projects.Excellent process analysis, optimisation and automation skills; basic security concepts knowledge.Willingness to learn and apply new skills; effective time management and ability to handle competing priorities.Ability to work effectively in a globally distributed team; excellent verbal and written communication skills.Desired skillsExperience with Identity and Access Management technologies.Active Directory administration, Windows and Linux authentication.Experience with deployment using microservice architectures, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines.Other relevant experience: HTML5, JavaScript, Node.js, SQL.About usLSEG (London Stock Exchange Group) is a global financial markets infrastructure and data business.
