Lead Mechanical Engineer - Norwich - Up to £80,000

We are looking for a dynamic Lead Mechanical Engineer to take a central role in shaping the mechanical engineering direction of our cutting-edge electric drive systems. These systems power a wide range of applications - from electric motorcycles and scooters to outdoor power equipment - and combine high-performance traction batteries, electric motors, and advanced controllers.

About the Role As the senior figure in the mechanical engineering team, you will steer projects from early design concepts through to production readiness. You will be responsible for establishing and improving engineering processes, ensuring our designs are optimised for manufacture, reliability, and high-volume production.

Working closely with senior leadership, you will oversee workload planning, set technical priorities, and ensure that every project meets our standards for quality, timing, and budget. You will also act as a bridge between our internal teams and external suppliers, building strong relationships that help us bring new products to market smoothly and efficiently.
