Lead Planning Engineer

Location: London (Hybrid)

Salary: £75,000 - £85,000 + car allowance, travel allowance, private medical, and additional benefits

We’re seeking a highly skilled Lead Planning Engineer with strong planning and technical abilities to manage large-scale infrastructure projects under NEC4 contracts. The successful candidate will not only develop and maintain detailed, cost-loaded programmes and performance reports but also carry out complex assessments and contract reviews for clients.

Key responsibilities include managing complex change control, producing professional and detailed reports, and delivering senior-level communication. You will review contract details, provide informed assessments including potential health risks based on client actions, and support commercial teams with compensation events and extension of time claims.

You will collaborate closely with clients, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure programme alignment and successful project delivery, applying lean and collaborative planning techniques to drive efficiency.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience with Primavera P6 and NEC4 contracts
• Strong commercial and contract management skills, including compensation events and extension of time claims
• Ability to conduct detailed contract assessments and provide insights on health and safety risks
• Excellent report writing and senior stakeholder communication skills
• Ability to manage subcontractor programmes and lead collaborative planning sessions
• Proficiency in Power BI and advanced reporting tools
• Experience in large-scale highways or heavy civil engineering projects
