Lead Platform Test Engineer role at TieTalent — Winchester (hybrid). Up to £66,000 + bonus. We are partnered with a leading tech business seeking a Lead Platform Test Engineer to drive quality across digital platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA strategy within a fast-growing engineering team, ensuring automation, performance, and quality practices are embedded throughout delivery. This is a hands-on leadership role, balancing technical depth with mentoring and stakeholder influence.
• Own and evolve automation frameworks with Playwright (TypeScript).
• Drive performance engineering and testing (K6, JMeter) in CI/CD pipelines.
• Apply continuous inspection and automated reporting for visibility and improvement.
• Ensure compatibility testing (e.g., BrowserStack) is built into delivery.
• Champion exploratory testing to uncover hidden issues.
• Collaborate across engineering teams to embed quality at every stage.

Qualifications

• Proven QA experience with leadership exposure.
• Hands-on expertise with Playwright (TypeScript) - essential.
• Strong background in automation, performance, and compatibility testing.
• Experience with CI/CD workflows and cross-functional delivery teams.
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
