We are looking for a Lead Process Engineer to join our growing Net Zero Energy Business. This position is based around AtkinsRéalis process engineering hubs in central Scotland (Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Bellshill offices), Bristol, or Stockton, with a flexible mix of home-working and office collaboration. Part-time applicants are also welcome.

Your purpose:

Are you an experienced process engineer who thrives on guiding others? Do you enjoy leading teams and working on exciting projects?

As a Lead Process Engineer, you could be managing multiple small projects or overseeing several process engineers on a large, multi-discipline project.

The role may include:

• Executing and steering technical delivery of process engineering projects.
• Collaborating with other disciplines on design projects.
• Managing client relationships.
• Providing technical advice to clients and internal teams.
• Coaching junior engineers and reviewing their work.

What you can bring?

You should enjoy leading process teams with a client-focused approach, have a drive to improve capabilities, and be able to delegate and review work effectively. Awareness of project commercial aspects like schedules and change control is important.

You should have experience across the process design spectrum, from concept to detailed design, including FEED projects, and a desire to improve methods and standards.

Desired experience and attributes:

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or similar.
• Experience delivering process engineering projects (Pre-FEED, FEED, EPC) in regulated industries.
• Chartered member of IChemE (preferred).
