OverviewJob Title: Lead Quality EngineerSalary: 40,000 - 45,000Sector: AerospaceLocation: WeymouthFull Time: Monday - Thursday, with an early finish on Friday.We currently on the lookout for a Lead Quality Engineer to join a leading Manufacturer of high-technology components, systems and assemblies for the Defence, Aerospace and Commercial sectors.ResponsibilitiesImplement and monitor Quality Assurance systems to ensure compliance with AS9100, company, customer, and regulatory requirements.Support customer needs, including RCCA, business development, and workshops.Lead on all quality matters internally and externally, including with suppliers.Schedule and lead internal and external audits to maintain business accreditations.Support company Red Table/RCCA activities.Perform other duties as requested by the Line Manager, with appropriate training or explanation.Support and present at key customer business reviews.Drive continuous improvement and eliminate Non-Value Added activities.Implement stronger quality controls and operating systems as a change agent.Support and lead the development of lean and Six Sigma practices.Manage and track department KPIs and recommend action plans.Oversee the QA team's daily activities, skills development, training needs, and workload prioritisation.Support the Quality Manager at FGP when needed.Skills and qualificationsKnowledge of products and processes in aerospace part and assembly manufacturing.Experience with Six Sigma tools.Auditing experience.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.Beneficial knowledge of AS, ISO, and NADCAP standards.HNC in a relevant field or higher.ISO 9001 lead audit trained.BenefitsProgression and developmentEnhanced sick pay25 days holiday plus bank holidaysWorkplace PensionAccess to a virtual GP ServiceHealth cash-back planDeath in ServiceFor more information for the Lead Quality Engineer role, please contact Bournemouth on (phone number removed)Adecco acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
