We’re on the hunt for a talented and enthusiastic Lead Site Reliability Engineer to join our Infra team in Sunderland. This isn’t just a job; it’s a chance to lead the charge on system reliability and make a huge impact on our entire business!

Responsibilities

• Ensuring system uptime by monitoring and maintaining the availability and reliability of our services.
• Leading the team in implementing automation, monitoring, and incident response strategies.
• Automating manual tasks and using tools like Terraform and Git to automate our infrastructure.
• Developing and maintaining automated deployment pipelines to streamline releases.
• Collaborating with development teams to ensure new features are designed with reliability in mind.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who is passionate, a natural leader, and has a strong commitment to continuous improvement.

The Must-Haves:

• Proven experience in a similar SRE role, particularly in a public cloud environment like AWS.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
• Experience with CI/CD and deployment management.
• A strong understanding of observability, monitoring, and alerting.
• Experience with containerisation technologies like Docker.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams.

The Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with Microservices Architecture.
• Proficiency in integrating security practices into the DevOps process.
• Familiarity with various programming languages and tech stacks.
