Discover a career where your ideas and skills help power our most critical systems.As a Cassandra Engineering Team Member in the Cassandra engineering team, you will help build and enhance one of the largest internal database platforms in the world. You will work closely with experienced engineers to create automation and self-service tooling for Cassandra in both private and public cloud environments. You will focus on consumer-driven requirements and customer experience, ensuring our platform is world-class and reliable. Your work will directly support JPMorganChase’s most critical systems and drive continuous improvement in our technology landscape.Job ResponsibilitiesProvide technical expertise throughout the software lifecycle, including design, implementation, and deliveryDevelop frameworks that increase developer and release velocity, improving code health and technical standardsPartner with team members to align strategies and reach mutual goalsCollaborate with engineers to develop automation and self-service tools for Cassandra across private and public cloudsFocus on delivering a consumer-driven, world-class Cassandra platform for critical systems, enhancing customer experienceRequired Qualifications, Capabilities, and SkillsFormal training or certification in software engineering conceptsUnderstanding of cloud, virtualization, APIs, and modern software languagesSoftware development experience in one or more general-purpose programming languages such as Java, Python, Spring Framework, Spring-Boot, Salt, and othersExcellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficientlyAdvanced experience with two or more of the following: web application development, database, Unix/Linux environments, distributed and parallel systems, information retrieval, networking, large-scale software development, security software developmentUnderstanding or experience with agile and lean philosophiesStrong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with clear communicationExperience with automation and configuration management tools such as SaltStack and Ansible or similar tools, including basic knowledge of Linux configuration and operationsKnowledge of concepts related to Database Reliability Engineering (DBRE)Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and SkillsExperience with Apache CassandraExperience with UI/UX developmentPrevious contributions to open-source softwareExpertise in designing, implementing, and optimizing solutions using DynamoDB, including experience with data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuningIf you’re passionate about learning and eager to solve complex problems, we invite you to join our team and help us deliver innovative solutions for JPMorgan Chase’s most critical systems. #J-18808-Ljbffr
