Recruitment Consultant - Software Engineering

Location: Manchester (Hybrid Working)

Type: Permanent, Full-Time

A global leader in customer data and insights is looking for a Lead Engineer to help shape the future of cloud-native platforms and applications used by some of the world's most recognisable retail and consumer brands.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical design and delivery of cloud-based applications and services
• Implement and champion cloud-native practices within Azure, AWS, or GCP ecosystems
• Collaborate with engineering managers, architects, and product leads to align on priorities and technical roadmaps
• Mentor engineers and foster a strong culture of knowledge sharing, quality, and technical excellence
• Support platform reengineering to improve performance, resilience, and maintainability
• Identify and resolve technical dependencies across cross-functional teams

What they're looking for

• Deep experience in .NET (C#) development for enterprise-grade applications
• Strong background in designing and delivering solutions on public cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS or GCP also considered)
• Experience working with microservices, APIs, and integration patterns at scale
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and DevOps principles
• Proven ability to work in Agile environments and deliver results iteratively
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem-solving

Experience in any of the following is a plus

• Python, Scala, or data processing frameworks
• Event-driven or distributed system architectures
• Big data tools (e.g., Hadoop, HDFS, Airflow)
• Linux and containerisation
