Lead Technical Engineer (Security Systems)

A Global Security Systems Business is currently looking to expand their UK team by recruiting a Lead Engineer to provide technical support and field assistance to the engineers ensuring projects are being installed correctly, to company standards and to the highest industry standards possible. This Lead engineer will have extensive on-site configuration and commissioning of access control and video management system experience as well as in a leadership position.
** No overseas relocation considered. This applicant must live in the UK with a valid UK driving licence and be commutable from London / South East / M3 / M4 corridor
Lead Engineer responsibilities include:
* Coordinate, Commission, Test & Troubleshoot projects throughout EMEA.
* Manage all server deployments and all programming activities.
* Take responsibility for adherence to technical standards on all projects.
* Take responsibility for the upkeep of technical certification programs (Lenel, Honeywell, Software House, Genetec, Milestone, Avigilon)
* Contribute to the technical design/design assurance and delivery of new complex, global projects.
* Take the lead on Equipment/Platform specification during pre-sales (new, potential clients)
* Build and maintain technical relationships with suppliers/partners.
* Ensure all projects that are delivered have undergone a detailed technical review and a validated Commissioning process.
* Manage technical team/engineering personnel in country and provide support to colleagues within the EMEA region as the technical department grows.
* Service and maintenance support – assisting field engineers, LSPs and clients resolving technical problems, commissioning/programming. Providing remote support to customers, colleagues, and subcontractors.
* Account management assistance in support of company growth opportunities.
* Support new company initiatives and assist in business development efforts.
* Develop new processes for commissioning, QA/QC & project sign off.
* Travel to sites to meet clients and build relationships.
* Manage, supervise, and organize existing Engineers; mentor, train and develop their skillset.
* Hands on commission projects.
* Engage in open service cases and assist in resolving technical problems.
* Meet manufacturers, represent the company, and drive aspirations to support new Enterprise products
