As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for testing critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.Job ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for banking application user interfacesBuild and execute robust UI and API acceptance tests in collaboration with engineers and stakeholdersAnalyze test results, report defects and metrics, and drive timely resolution with development teamsEnsure comprehensive test coverage and traceability for all requirementsEvaluate and recommend test automation frameworks and tools based on project needsParticipate actively in Agile ceremonies and contribute to process improvementsMaintain clear documentation for test cases, scripts, and resultsMentor junior testers and provide technical guidanceUtilize AI-powered coding assistants to enhance scripting efficiencyAdd to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respectRequired Qualifications, Capabilities, and SkillsFormal training or equivalent expertise, working as a test automation engineer in complex environmentsProven experience with UI automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium, and BDD frameworks like CucumberProficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Java for automation scriptingExperience with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured) and SQL for data validationFamiliarity with containerization (Docker), version control systems (Git), and development environments (IntelliJ IDEA or VS Code)Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and defect lifecycleAbility to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment and collaborate in cross-functional Agile teamsExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsPractical cloud native experiencePreferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and SkillsExperience with AWS cloud platform, performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling), and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)Familiarity with test management tools (Jira, Xray, TestRail) and accessibility testing tools (Axe, Lighthouse)Experience in the banking or financial services domain and exposure to model-based testing tools (Conformiq)J.P.
