Our client is a specialist within the Ventilation / Passive Fire / Fire Damper industry, who offer comprehensive commissioning and testing services to their client base. Due to recently winning new contracts, they are seeking a hardworking and knowledgeable Lead Ventilation Commissioning Engineer who has excellent hands-on experience and can confidently lead teams on projects of varying sizes. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail as well as strong client-facing skills. Experience / Qualifications:
- Successful record working as a Ventilation Commissioning Engineer within a Smoke / Passive Fire specialist
- It is essential that applicants have electrical installations qualifications and experience
- NIC/EIC electrical testing experience
- Working knowledge of BS 9999, BS 9991 guidelines
- Will have worked across a mixed portfolio of client sites
- Ideally will hold the SSSTS as a minimum
- Able to lead on projects and manage teams
- Strong literacy and IT skills
The Role:
- Conducting and overseeing the commissioning, testing and validation of smoke ventilation systems and products
- Thoroughly inspecting systems to highlight any performance issues, and making appropriate recommendations
- Producing quotations for works and estimating for projects
- Allocate works to engineers
- Identifying areas for training and leading toolbox talks for engineers
- Provide technical and logistical support to a team of engineers
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients, answering technical queries and providing updates on works
- Liaising with members of management to discuss project progress
- Producing regular service reports
- Travelling in line with company requirements
- Maintaining positive working relationships with clients
- Completing site audits to ensure works are completed to a high standard and within industry guidelines
