POSITION SNAPSHOT:

Our client is a pioneering company in advanced materials and manufacturing, dedicated to transforming industrial processes through innovative technology. In this role, you will be the first dedicated Machine Learning Engineer, responsible for building core ML capabilities that will directly impact manufacturing efficiency and sustainability at scale.

Key Responsibilities

Your key duties will include collaborating on strategic technical decisions, rapidly prototyping and iterating on ML solutions, and developing and implementing algorithms that suggest optimal experimental batches for materials development and process improvement. You will also implement knowledge transfer capabilities across different manufacturing machines and create robust data quality systems. You will occasionally engage directly with manufacturing customers to understand real-world constraints.

Required Skills and Experience

The role requires a strong understanding of optimization under uncertainty and multi-objective optimization. The position requires advanced proficiency in Python and related libraries, as well as a strong manufacturing background, with solid educational background.

The ideal candidate will be motivated by solving real-world problems with tangible industrial impact and be comfortable with ambiguity and rapid priority changes.
