We’re seeking a Level III macOS Endpoint Engineer to lead the configuration, compliance, and lifecycle management of our macOS device fleet, primarily utilising Jamf Pro. This role will drive policy enforcement, patching, automation, and documentation while supporting broader strategy efforts. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, troubleshoot complex issues, and contribute to shaping best practices in our modern endpoint environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand the lifecycle management of all Mac endpoints across the enterprise
- Assistance with creating policies for configuration, compliance, and security
- Assists with patching strategy and execution to ensure devices remain secure and up to date
- Develop and maintain automation workflows using Python and other scripting tools
- Seek relevant information on the technical roadmap to help drive adoption of modern endpoint management practices
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to macOS configuration, enrollment, and policy enforcement
- Create and maintain accurate technical documentation and standard operating procedures
- Collaborate with security, networking, and support teams to align device policy with organizational goals
- Monitor endpoint health, compliance, and telemetry data to proactively identify areas for improvement
- Provide mentorship and direction to junior engineers and support staff
- Evaluate new tools, features, and technologies to continuously improve the endpoint ecosystem
Required Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or 2+ years of equivalent experience in macOS support, Jamf Pro. A few key proficiencies would include...
- Thorough understanding of macOS
- Jamf 100, 200, 300 (400 a Bonus)
- Intermediate to Advanced Python knowledge (or equivalent language). The ability to write scripts to automate tasks
- Experience with Jamf Pro
- Working knowledge of AutoPkg a plus
- Self-motivated with the ability to track trends, propose solutions, and drive implementation
- Skilled in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues
- Proficient in creating and maintaining clear IT documentation
- Strong communicator, able to explain complex topics to any audience
- Confident in presenting ideas with clarity, data, and detail to peers and leaders
