Overview

Maintenance Engineer – London manufacturing sector (hands-on role fixing machinery in a factory). This is a 1 year contract with potential for a permanent role at the end. Location: North London (Enfield area).

Responsibilities

• Reactive and planned maintenance of production machinery
• Electrical or mechanical fault finding and repair (depending on skill set)
• Minimise equipment downtime
• Support on breakdowns
• Assist with continuous improvement

Requirements

• A formal engineering qualification to at least City & Guilds level 3, NVQ level 3 or equivalent with corresponding practical experience
• Good working knowledge of automated systems/production machinery
• From a manufacturing background
• Mechanical and electrical proven experience

What the role offers

• 12 hour days and nights
• Fully automated site with lots of investment and new kit being installed
• Very long term contract with potential to move to permanent role
• Competitive basic salary circa £70k plus opportunities for overtime (heavy overtime possible)

Commutable from Enfield, Epping, Romford, Brentwood, Hoddesdon, Brimsdown, Edmonton, Walthamstow, Stevenage, Borehamwood, Elstree, Barnet, Southgate, Tottenham, Waltham Abbey, Waltham Cross and other parts of London, Hertfordshire and Essex.
