Overview

Exciting opportunity for a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer for a leading food manufacturer. You will be responsible for providing PPM and OEE support to the company's Enfield manufacturing site. Our client is an established manufacturer of authentic global foods with a state-of-the-art factory. This role requires exposure to an FMCG environment; the site is AA BRC rated and candidates must have experience of working within a highly regulated/audited site within food, drink or packaging manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine planned maintenance and maintenance requests to minimise downtime and ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and automation issues promptly to maintain production flow.
• Conduct breakdown repairs of plant and site service equipment using problem solving to drive long-term fixes.
• Identify opportunities for process optimisation and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce waste through effective use of the change management procedure.
• Support and coach relevant employees in all aspects of shared maintenance.
• Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practice.

Qualifications

• Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship (Electrical/Mechanical or Multi-skilled) - NVQ/C&G Level 3 or BTEC equivalent with demonstrable electrical and mechanical maintenance skills.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems used in food manufacturing.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills to quickly diagnose and resolve technical faults.
• High attention to detail to ensure precision in maintenance and repairs to uphold quality standards.
