The Role: Maintenance Engineer (Electrical or Mechanical Bias)
As a
Maintenance Engineer
at Smart Managed Solutions, youll be a key player in delivering both planned and reactive maintenance across our clients facilities. Whether your background is
electrical
or
mechanical , youll use your skills to ensure all systems operate smoothly and safely, delivering service that exceeds expectations. Youll be responsible for a range of maintenance tasksfrom fault-finding and repairs to general building upkeep like minor plumbing, painting, and decorating. You'll also manage lighting maintenance and support the wider engineering team in keeping everything running to a high standard. Key Responsibilities:
Carry out both planned and reactive maintenance works in line with service level agreements
Deliver engineering solutions based on your
electrical
or
mechanical
expertise
Perform general tasks including basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, and decorating
Manage and safely store equipment, tools, and materials
Undertake lighting maintenance, including lamp replacements and cleaning of diffusers
Support engineering team across a range of tasks and ensure consistent service delivery
Maintain accurate documentation of all work carried out
Promote and maintain safe working practices across all tasks
Build strong working relationships with both colleagues and clients
Represent Smart Managed Solutions with professionalism and a focus on customer service
Take responsibility for your ongoing learning and personal development
What Were Looking For:
Qualified or experienced in
electrical
or
mechanical maintenance
Hands-on experience with general building and facility maintenance
Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach
Excellent team player with solid communication skills
Formally trained in an engineering discipline (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 1 or higher
desirable)
