Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (electrically biased) Stoke Monday – Friday 14.00 – 22.00 The engineer is responsible for assisting the engineering team in the delivery of an effective maintenance program, using planned and predictive maintenance and for self-development; aligned and working in a consistent way across all production areas of the factory. Responsible for assisting the Engineering Team in managing improvement activities and for providing project support and leadership as required. Assist the engineering team with the site technical activities such as legislative compliance, and maintenance. Ensuring a rapid response and effective production cover Key responsibilities Responsible for carrying out daily planned, predictive and condition based maintenance across the site to ensure it provides effective cover and improved efficiency for all the production line plant and equipment Provide a motivated and performance based rapid response to the needs of the Factory Production Teams Assist with an effective control for all outside contractors engaged in Engineering installation or improvement works across the factory Develop a close working relationship with all production teams to ensure that good levels of support to minimize downtime and improve the overall efficiency of the plant Use the engineering stores efficiently, that any wastage is minimal and that all engineering costs are minimized Uphold good standards of hygiene and housekeeping for all parts of the site that are the responsibility of the engineering department Will work closely with the Engineering Manager to control and optimize all engineering labour and material costs including spares, raw materials and consumables Ensure that communication with the engineering team and on-coming shift engineers is maximized and current and future workloads are briefed out effectively Actively seek out plant improvements identified during breakdowns, planned maintenance or during normal production sweep checks To maintain Health and Safety practices on site to ensure the wellbeing and duty of care of all employees and yourself Skills & Experience Apprentice trained or relevant electrical engineering qualifications Strong understanding of electrical principles, circuits, and systems Ability to diagnose and resolve electrical problems efficiently Familiarity with electrical schematics and relevant testing equipment Knowledge of electrical safety regulations and safe working practices Experience of programmable logic control preferred Prior use of CMMS system to maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and parts used Computer literate #INDENG
