Maintenance Engineer - Wigan

Salary: £53,985 p.a. (including shift allowance) + overtime
Hours: 3-shift rotation, Monday-Friday

Manpower is partnering with a leading manufacturing business in Wigan to find a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer. This is a dynamic, hands-on role where you'll keep production machinery running smoothly, reduce downtime, and contribute to continuous improvement.

  • Monday-Thursday: 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm / 10pm-6am

  • Friday: 6am-12pm / 12pm-6pm / 6pm-12am

    • What you'll be doing

  • Respond to breakdowns and carry out reactive maintenance

  • Perform planned maintenance (PM) and condition-based monitoring (CBM)

  • Analyse plant performance and recommend improvements

  • Manage spare parts and coordinate with the operations team

  • Maintain safety, health, and environmental standards

    • Who we're looking for

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a maintenance or engineering role

  • Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent (HNC in Electrical Engineering desirable)

  • Skilled with AC/DC equipment, inverters, and PLCs (Allen Bradley preferred)

  • Strong fault-finding, problem-solving, and teamwork skills

  • Flexible, hands-on, and ready to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
