Our client is looking for experienced Maintenance Technicians/Engineers to join their team tasked with maximising efficiency and minimising downtime.
Role Purpose
The role involves proactive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of production equipment and systems to maintain uninterrupted operations. Collaboration with key stakeholders and professionals is essential to enhance machinery performance, minimise breakdowns, and implement strategies that improve the reliability, safety, and efficiency of plant operations and production processes.
Key Responsibilities
Champion a safety-first culture by promoting safe and environmentally responsible working practices through effective day-to-day operations.
Foster open and effective communication with key stakeholders, building trust and encouraging constructive dialogue and collaboration.
Maintain and apply technical knowledge of core mechanical systems and electrical principles relevant to the production environment to ensure timely and efficient maintenance and fault resolution.
Carry out predictive, preventative, and reactive maintenance activities on manufacturing equipment and services, ensuring alignment with business needs and quality standards. Promptly escalate issues to minimise downtime.
Support teams and departments in delivering initiatives to optimise equipment and process performance. Contribute to achieving annual targets by driving improvements in quality, capacity, and continuous improvement efforts.
Key Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
Level 3 or higher qualification in a technical discipline covering mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
Completed a time-served apprenticeship with experience in a manufacturing or similar industrial setting
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
Experience using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Ability to influence stakeholders and support change initiatives
Commitment to creating a flexible, inclusive, and collaborative work environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

All shifts total 37.5 hours per week.
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: £43,094.88 per annum
Overtime:
1.5x hourly rate (Mon-Sat) after 37.5 hours
2x hourly rate on Sundays (beyond 37.5 hours and not part of the normal week)
Annual Pay Review
Pension Scheme:
Employer contribution: 8%
Employee contribution: 4%
Holiday Entitlement: 29 days including bank holidays
Bank holidays are treated as regular working days and can be booked as holiday
